Sabah basketball player Endar Poladkhanli reflected on the team's victory over LANDAU Lions (84-74) in the opening game of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) season.
He praised the intensity of the season opener and the efforts of both teams:
"I think the match against LANDAU Lions was very exciting, especially for the supporters. It was a game truly worthy of opening the new ABL season. Both teams fought on the court until the very end, and the fans got to watch a great game. Not much changed in the final period; we simply made a few tactical adjustments in defense. Overall, we played the entire match according to our system and managed to secure the victory in the end."
Poladkhanli also shared his thoughts on the team's preparations for the Champions League:
"The team is still in the process of building chemistry. I wouldn't say we are at one hundred percent readiness yet. There are still areas we need to refine, but we will certainly resolve these issues shortly and be fully prepared to compete in the Champions League."
